Thanks to the instructor Ed Beaver, The one million dollar questions has been answered; The name ElementK was chosen because the president of the company wanted a name that encompassed the new direction as it transitioned from Ziff Davis. It actually stands for "Elemental Knowledge" and also stands for Potassium that is "brain food". The previous info was food for thought...
